Over 8 Billion Kilograms per Year
Plastic waste is a major global problem — not only on land, but also in our oceans. Every year, more than 8 billion kilograms of plastic waste enter the environment, threatening marine biodiversity and human health.
Since the launch of the initiative on 10 April 2022, every CSR Plastic Credit issued now physically includes plastic waste removed from our oceans.
🎣 Fishermen no longer go out just to catch fish — they also catch plastic, giving it a new life and creating a new source of income for themselves.
From the Ocean to Advanced Bio-Oil
Partner fishermen (Thailand) collect plastic during their regular fishing trips at sea.
The plastic is handed over to Corsair and delivered to the Bangkok and Finland facilities for initial processing.
